Certified Nursing Assistant School Information and Admission Process

Admission Requirements:

The Certified Nurse Assistant Program offered at Best Healthcare Institute, Inc. has its own admission standards and it is the responsibility of the applicant to meet those standards. For admission, a potential student must:

  1. Be at least 17 years of age by the time the program begins.
  2. Attend a new student orientation.
  3. Complete, sign, and submit a Best Healthcare Institute, Inc. Enrollment form.
  4. Sign documents acknowledging receipt of disclosure forms as required by the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009, Articles 11.
  5. Present proof of good health: A report, which includes a medical history, physical examination and PPD test or chest x-ray.
  6. Be free from conviction or have clearance from the CA Department of Public Health and DOJ.
  7. Be able to exert 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally, 10-25 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  8. Have student liability insurance.
  9. Must have a TIN or SSN to be able to take the certification exam.
  10. Must own a laptop/computer, mic, a headset, and have access to the Internet.

Admission Process

Step 1: Register & Submit Requirements

  Completely fill out the Best Healthcare Institute, Inc. Registration form: Cost $75

  CompleteandSign the Enrollment Agreement.

  Completeandsubmit LiveScan for the DPH clearance.

Step 2: Pay Tuition & Purchase Uniform + ID Photo

  Physical examination by a medical doctor or nurse practitioner

  Current and valid CPR certificate from American Heart Association– BLS for Healthcare Providers

  TBClearance within the last year (Option A: 2-Step TB skin test clearance; Option B: positive PPD accompanied by Chest X-ray clearance; Option C: Quantiferon TB Test)

Step 3: Must submit to Best Healthcare Institute, Inc. after admission to the program
